Minetest 0.4.16 - quick review

To sum up the improvements of 0.4.16: wow.

if the screenshots look a bit blocky (in a pixel sense not a voxel sense), thats because im using the new undersampling feature. it renders the game at a lower resolution, while keeping the UI nice and crisp. if your computer is short in the GPU department, you can find it under advanced settings, in client>Graphics>in-game>filtering>undersampling.

a notible API change is Client side mods are finally here.  though it is subject to break/change without notice. (its a brand new part of the API after all)

minetest is running far smoother on my system with the new version. an i am quite pleased.

To close, i'd like to thank the devs for all their hard work. Minetest sure has made some strides with this one.

happy building!

Finally have these blogs sorted.

I finally have these blogs sorted. making icons, backgrounds, adjusting layouts and themes... and i think I've done a rather good job of it. 😎

Welcome

well, This blog is going to be much more general than my tech and art blogs, its more a place for, well, other things really.  like updates, personal news, social stuff, and things that don't quite fit in the other two blogs.
